We were thrilled to learn of Alibas’ visit this year and were pleased to be able to host you at the Adult Education programme in Rondebosch. The programme would like to thank you for your generosity in giving of your time and skill on the 26th February 2000. Your performance was exciting and dynamic. It is always important that musicians give something back to the community and in South Africa it is appropriate that people who have not been exposed to musicians of your calibre be granted an opportunity to listen to you.
— Keith Adams, St Joseph’s Adult Education Programme Director, Rondebosch, South Africa

“We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant,

Actually, who are you NOT to be?”
